SupplyWhy.ai recently launched an AI assistant designed to augment decision intelligence and execution for supply chain planning teams.
SAN FRANCISCO—SupplyWhy, an agentic AI software company for automotive supply chain resilience, recently emerged from stealth mode to launch an agentic AI system aimed at tackling what it called “$30 billion of waste in the automotive supply chain.”
SupplyWhy said in a company release that it is introducing Jenae, an AI assistant designed to augment decision intelligence and execution for supply chain planning teams. This innovation is said to enable “harmonization across the automotive network to boost profits, agility, and efficiency while making life better for 80,000 planners and operators currently spending 50-to-60 percent of their time in firefights.”
“Think of Jenae as a bright, multi-lingual teammate joining your planning organization with deep automotive supply chain expertise, available as a 24/7 force-multiplier,” the release stated.
Among the key features and benefits of the system is the ability to boost the accuracy of planning via predictive insights. Companies can leverage Jenae’s deep understanding of context to tackle multi-tier volatility and boost planning accuracy, the company said in the release.
“We’ve seen that a 1percent improvement in plan accuracy for a $2-3 billion Tier 1 supplier can translate into about $20 million [of] COGS [cost of goods sold] reduction,” the company said.
The agentic AI system is also said to help companies increase agility with faster response execution. Companies can orchestrate complex planning workflows as they access information instantly, generate communications, and update planning and execution systems based on decisions.
“Start with ‘driver-assist’ and shift to ‘FSD’ when ready,” the company said. “Jenae, your automotive supply chain AI-Assistant, is there to either augment your workflow or automate manual and repetitive processes you are ready to hand off.”
Another benefit, according to SupplyWhy, is the ability to harmonize the supply network. Companies can join SupplyWhy’s Preferred Partner Network to access a secure network for intelligence sharing, aligning on shared signals of demand and risk to drive optimal performance across the supplier network.
Founded in 2024, SupplyWhy.ai said in the release that it is committed to driving harmonization across the automotive supplier network to reduce waste, boost profits, and bring flow back into the workflow for supply chain planners. The company’s flagship product, Jenae, is reportedly “the first enterprise-grade Agentic AI System purpose-built for the automotive network,” according to the release.
“SupplyWhy was founded with the mission to create massive network-wide value and reduce waste for one of the world’s largest industrial networks,” said Gaurav Palta, founder and CEO of SupplyWhy.ai, in the release. “This represents a radical change in performance and collaboration, where humans and intelligent agents work together in new innovative ways.”
SupplyWhy said it is partnering with customers and design partners like Yazaki Innovations, Inc. (YII) to “scale the value of this advance in technology within the automotive network.”
“There is a big need in the automotive sector for better understanding of customer releases and the impact of those releases on our operations,” said Jeff Gallo, director, Yazaki Innovations, Inc., in the release. “Considerable manpower is used today to try to predict and then analyze this impact. SupplyWhy helps automate and simplify these tasks.”
