The acquisition is expected to enhance Lampin’s capabilities through the addition of skilled employee-owners, along with Monalex’s equipment and customer base.

UXBRIDGE, Mass.—Lampin Corporation, an employee-owned manufacturer of precision components and assemblies, reported that it acquired all assets and employees of Monalex Manufacturing, Inc., a Douglas, Massachusetts-based precision machining and manufacturing company.

Effective as of January 8, 2025, the acquisition includes Monalex’s cutting-edge equipment and customer base. It also includes the addition of several skilled machinists, who will join Lampin’s team as new employee-owners through Lampin’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), according to a company release.

The release stated that Monalex’s customers can expect uninterrupted service, and that many will benefit from faster production times and reduced wait times for products. The transition is designed to be seamless, continuing the legacy of excellence Monalex has built over more than 30 years of precision machining.

“This acquisition strengthens our ability to serve customers with unmatched precision and speed while upholding the highest standards of quality,” said John Biagioni, president and CEO of Lampin Corporation, in the release. “We’re proud to bring Monalex’s exceptional team and legacy into the Lampin family. By welcoming Monalex employees as employee-owners, we’re building a stronger, more collaborative future for everyone involved.”

The acquisition also marks another significant milestone. After decades of dedicated work in building the business, Monalex’s president and founder, Tyson “Skip” Brady, and his family, will retire. Lampin’s experienced team will carry forward Monalex’s legacy of more than 30 years of precision machining.

“This decision was not made lightly,” Brady said in the release. “It brings me great satisfaction to know that our employees are in good hands, our customers will continue to be supported with the highest quality service, and I can enjoy my retirement knowing the business I’ve built has a bright future with Lampin.”

The release stated that Lampin “will continue to provide Monalex’s customers with the high-quality precision machining and customer service they’ve come to expect, while leveraging its own expertise and resources to deliver even greater value.”
