The acquisition builds on Pexco’s presence in the aerospace, defense, medical, and electronics markets, the company said.

JOHNS CREEK, Ga.—Specialty plastics processor Pexco LLC has acquired Precise Aerospace Manufacturing, Inc., a specialist in close-tolerance custom molding for the aerospace, defense, medical, and electronics industries, Pexco said in a release.

Pexco is an ISO 9001:2015 registered company that specializes in custom design and fabrication of engineered plastic components. The Atlanta-based company provides standard and specialty parts and components for a broad range of custom applications. Its customers include manufacturers and end users in markets such as specialty industrial, fluid handling, aerospace, life science, traffic safety, lighting, and electrical insulation, the company said.

Precise Aerospace Manufacturing, based in Yorba Linda, California, describes itself as a “full-service supplier of injection, compression, [and] transfer molded plastic, and value added assembly and contract manufacturing.” The company provides tight-tolerance custom molding of high-performance thermoplastic materials, such as PEEK, Torlon®, Ultem®, and Ryton®, the release stated.

According to Pexco, Precise Aerospace Manufacturing’s end-to-end capabilities and commitment to quality and customer service align with Pexco’s strategy. The acquisition is said to enhance Pexco’s injection molding and material science capabilities and increase the company’s presence on the West Coast. It also builds on Pexco’s presence in the aerospace, defense, medical, and electronics markets, the company said.

Precise Aerospace Manufacturing was founded as Precise Plastic Products in 1965. In addition to custom molding, Precise offers CNC machining and value-added assembly. As a molder, the company works with thermoset and thermoplastic materials, specializing in engineering resins for complex projects. Precise Aerospace Manufacturing is AS9100 and ISO 9001 certified and ITAR registered.
