SIMI VALLEY, Calif.—Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI) has decades of experience in engineering thermal, power, and cable management systems for the data center, enterprise networking, and industrial enclosure markets. The company is a global manufacturer of “products that power and protect its customers’ ever-growing investment in information and communications technology (ICT),” according to a release from CPI.

One of the company’s new products is its Elevate™ Adjustable Containment Solution, reported to offer a cutting-edge approach to improving data center efficiency through effective hot air management. The system, which was scheduled to be shown at the Data Center World Conference in Washington, D.C., in April, is optimized for the company’s ZetaFrame® Cabinet System and designed to streamline deployment, CPI said in the release.

The system features a telescoping design that is said to seamlessly adapt to create a duct connecting the ZetaFrame cabinet to the overhead drop ceiling, allowing for quick adjustments to the containment. The Elevate Adjustable Containment Solution is engineered to align with standard ZetaFrame cabinet widths and supports both hot aisle containment and row-level vertical exhaust duct applications, the company said.

For hot aisle containment, the system links two rows of cabinets, forming a sealed pathway that channels hot air from the cabinet tops to an overhead drop ceiling. This is said to create an efficient, closed hot air return system.

According to Chatsworth Products, pre-assembled panels eliminate the need for on-site fabrication of metals or panels and drilling. A sliding service panel facilitates easy access to the cabling infrastructure and other overhead structures, allowing for adjustments and repairs with minimal disruption.

Chatsworth Products’ broad offering includes cabinet, containment, and industrial enclosure systems; cable management, cable runway and tray, power management, environmental monitoring and security, and grounding and bonding systems. It also includes open rack systems, seismic protection systems, wall-mount systems, and zone cabling and wireless enclosures, the company said.
