Attaining the milestone “adds another level of trust and security” for the company’s defense and aerospace customers, the company said.

PHOENIX—A3D Manufacturing, a provider of advanced additive and traditional manufacturing services, reported in December that it attained International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) registration.

In a company release, A3D Manufacturing called the milestone “significant,” adding that it reflects “the company’s unwavering commitment to supporting U.S. defense, aerospace, and supply chain industries with secure, reliable, and high-quality manufacturing services.”

ITAR is a critical set of U.S. government regulations that are designed to ensure the secure handling of defense-related products, services, and data. Organizations that are ITAR compliant signify their responsibility and assurance to protect the greater good of the United States through its services.

“Attaining ITAR registration is a testament to our team’s dedication to excellence and innovation,” said Jon Toews, senior vice president of A3D Manufacturing, in the release. “This milestone not only enhances our capabilities but also reinforces our commitment to supporting American manufacturing and protecting national security. We look forward to collaborating with manufacturing customers who demand the highest standards of security, precision, and quality.”

In addition to the ITAR registration, A3D Manufacturing holds ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100:2016 certifications.

Last June, the manufacturing-as-a-service (MaaS) company opened its new Phoenix headquarters, which plays a pivotal role in meeting customer demands. Spanning 9,000 square feet, the new facility is reported to provide three times the production capacity of its former location. As such, it allows A3D Manufacturing to expand its production capacity for large-scale projects and meet the rigorous standards required for regulated industries such as defense and aerospace, the company said in the release.

A3D Manufacturing specializes in additive and traditional manufacturing services, including CNC machining, injection molding, and cast urethane. The company serves customers at every stage of the product lifecycle, offering high-quality solutions for prototyping, production, and overflow manufacturing. In addition ITAR compliance, A3D Manufacturing is ISO 9001:2015 certified and AS9100:2016 certified, making it “a trusted partner for customers requiring precision, quality, and compliance,” release stated.
