IRVINE, Calif.—New precision switches introduced by Fairview Microwave are reported to offer an extensive frequency bandwidth from DC up to 26 GHz, according to a release from Fairview Microwave, an Infinite Electronics brand.
Fairview’s Quartz Series of surface-mount failsafe electromechanical relay switches are available in what the company called “a pioneering micro-sized package.” The Quartz Series is said to stand out for its robust power handling, capable of managing up to 40 watts average power during hot switching.
Each switch in the series is built with failsafe actuators, and 12-volt and 24-volt models are offered, the release stated.
Fairview Microwave has been supplying on-demand RF and microwave products since 1992. Fairview offers immediate delivery of RF components, including attenuators, adapters, coaxial cable assemblies, connectors, terminations, and more.
“Our new Quartz Series pushes the boundaries of RF technology,” said Fairview Microwave Product Line Manager Kevin Hietpas, in the release. “These switches deliver unparalleled performance while adhering to the industry’s eco-compliance standards.”
The surface-mount failsafe electromechanical relay switches are described as durable and are designed to thrive under demanding conditions, from sine vibration to mechanical shock. A unique feature of the series is its gold-plated mounting surface, which resists oxidation, ensuring a prolonged and reliable connection. They have a lifecycle rating of 5M, the release stated.
Fairview’s Quartz Series caters to a broad range of frequency bands, from VHF to UHF and all the way to K bands, making it suitable for multiple market applications, the company said.
Designed for optimal performance, the Quartz Series switches are reported to feature insertion loss rates going as low as 0.2 dB max, high isolation exceeding 50 dB, and a rapid switching time averaging just 5 milliseconds. The micromechanical design of the switches is said to ensure a cost-effective and streamlined installation process for users.
Fairview said its new surface-mount failsafe electromechanical relay switches are in stock and available for same-day shipping. All products are shipped same-day from the company’s ISO 9001:2015-certified production facilities in Lewisville, Texas.
