ECI Software Solutions’ new add-ons provide short- and long-term scheduling flexibility along with the ability to monitor and analyze equipment performance in real time, the company said.
FORT WORTH, Texas—ECI Software Solutions, a global provider of cloud-based business management software and services, recently launched two new add-on software tools for its Manufacturing ERP products—ECI Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and ECI Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS), both powered by LYNQ. These tools will soon be available for Deacom, M1, JobBOSS², and Macola ERP platforms, according to a release from ECI Software Solutions.
The addition of ECI MES and APS is said to provide improved automation and advanced features, including visual planning, real-time data collection, and flexible scheduling. This enables businesses to optimize factory floor efficiency and drive profitability, providing a competitive edge in an economic environment when margins are compressed, the release stated.
“In today’s rapidly evolving manufacturing landscape, embracing technical innovation is not just an option—it’s a necessity,” said ECI Software Solutions President of Manufacturing Matt Heerey, in the release. “Machine intelligence, machine connectivity, and MES have become pillars that are propelling our industry forward. By harnessing these technologies with a top-tier product, manufacturers will not only benefit from more automation, stronger planning, and scheduling capabilities, but also leverage seamless connectivity across more than 140 machine types.”
With real-time data collection and tracking, ECI MES is said to enable manufacturers to monitor and analyze their equipment performance and visualize losses in real-time. This capability ensures continuous production by automating resource allocation and minimizing downtime through instant alerts and issue tracking. The system also provides crucial insights by collecting part count data directly from machines, allowing businesses to leverage impactful metrics for overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
The ECI APS software complements ECI MES functionality by offering short and long-term scheduling flexibility. Its features include multiple resource scheduling, live progress reporting from equipment, and custom constraints, allowing manufacturers to plan weeks in advance while adapting to real-time production floor changes, the company said in the release.
The system’s centralized resource scheduling and visual planning tools are reported to provide full operational visibility, helping businesses identify bottlenecks and make strategic decisions that improve efficiency. “Together, ECI MES and ECI APS empower manufacturers to remain responsive and competitive in an ever-changing market,” the release stated.
ECI Software Solutions provides cloud-based business software for running small and mid-sized businesses, end-to-end. The company’s industry-specific software, built by experts in manufacturing and other industries, is said to connect businesses and customers, while also improving visibility, operational efficiency, and profitability.
LYNQ provides Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software to a global manufacturing base across 15 industries. The company’s software tools, described as “configurable, intelligent, and quick to deploy,” are reported to plan, track, automate, analyze, and optimize factory performance by increasing efficiency and productivity of resources.
