With the integration of KAM, ADDMAN offers more than 300,000 square feet of additive manufacturing capacity, the company said.
FORT MYERS, Fla.—ADDMAN Group has added Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing (KAM) to its portfolio of businesses which, together, are said to form the largest and fastest-growing additive manufacturing (AM) provider in the United States.
In a company release, ADDMAN stated that its addition of KAM represents ADDMAN’s most significant expansion in metal additive manufacturing and technological readiness to date. The combined entity operates more than 50 metal additive production machines, providing customers with access to a fully integrated metal additive manufacturing process from design to serial production, the company said.
According to the release, the expanded ADDMAN Group offers upwards of 300,000 square feet of additive manufacturing capacity, enhanced by KAM’s 70,000-square-foot facility in Statesville, North Carolina. “The combined expertise of ADDMAN and KAM ensures superior quality and faster delivery times for customers, making them a leading force for advanced manufacturing needs,” the release stated.
Brad Keselowski, founder of KAM, has been a strong advocate for the partnership.
“ADDMAN’s integration marks a pivotal moment for the additive industry,” Keselowski said in the release. “Combining these companies brings a powerful combination with KAM’s world-class processes and systems, and ADDMAN’s abundant resources and R&D. Together, we set a new standard for innovation and excellence in the additive manufacturing industry.”
Keselowski will remain deeply committed and invested in the operation’s success. He will assume a role as a commercial advisor on ADDMAN’s Board of Directors, helping to ensure a smooth transition and continued expansion, the release said.
Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing will work together with Castheon, ADDMAN’s metal additive research and production facility in Thousand Oaks, California, to provide enhanced additive manufacturing services. The two teams’ collaboration will leverage the strengths of their respective facilities, including lead times and capabilities in refractory alloy production and material science, according to the release.
“This collaboration ensures coast-to-coast support, from engineering design to full-scale production,” the release stated.
“We hold immense respect for the legacies of the companies we integrate into our fold,” said Joe Calmese, CEO of ADDMAN, in the release. “Brad and the exceptional team at KAM have built an impressive, profitable, and sustainable 3D printing enterprise in a remarkably short time. This is yet another proof point that ADDMAN is dedicated to assembling the industry’s finest under our banner. I look forward to seeing the new era of our combined company unfold.”
Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing and ADDMAN are heavily involved in serving the defense and commercial space markets. Their uniting is seen as a force multiplier in how the organization (ADDMAN Group) will support this sector. It strengthens their combined Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) and Technology Readiness Level (TRL), enabling them to deliver advanced, market-ready solutions, according to ADDMAN.
The combined entities are backed by American Industrial Partners (AIP). Together, they are said to be “committed to driving transformative change through 3D printing,” and to “solidifying their leadership in providing innovative technologies to the defense industry.”
