Jeh Aerospace and GridRaster are working to empower aerospace manufacturing with cutting-edge technologies for training, inspection, and productivity enhancement.
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. and ATLANTA—A precision manufacturer of aerospace components is collaborating with the developer of a spatial computing platform to enhance aerospace manufacturing through the integration of spatial AI, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) technologies.
The newly formed strategic partnership between Jeh Aerospace and GridRaster is intended to bring cutting-edge extended reality (XR) capabilities to training, inspection, and work-assistant use cases in aerospace manufacturing. It is expected to drive significant productivity, safety, and efficiency improvements across Jeh Aerospace’s manufacturing processes, according to a release from Jeh Aerospace.
Jeh Aerospace specializes in precision manufacturing of aerostructure and aeroengine components, tools, and assemblies for the commercial and defense aerospace industries. GridRaster develops high-precision spatial AI and XR technologies, empowering companies to “build and run scalable, high-quality immersive applications to support automation, digital twins, and robotic applications,” the release said.
GridRaster’s platform is reported to leverage advancements in cloud computing, AI, and spatial mapping to provide “seamless and engaging AR/VR experiences for various industries.”
“This partnership with GridRaster marks a significant milestone in our journey towards building future factories for aerospace manufacturing,” said Vishal R. Sanghavi, founder and CEO of Jeh Aerospace, in the release. “By integrating AR/VR technologies, we’re not only enhancing our capabilities but also setting new standards for quality and innovation in the industry.”
According to the release, Jeh Aerospace will leverage GridRaster’s Spatial AI and Dynamic XR platform to enhance various aspects of its operations. Key benefits of this partnership are reported to include enhanced training programs, improved inspection and maintenance, and AR/VR-powered work-assistant tools that provide real-time guidance and support to technicians on the shop floor. This will enhance productivity by streamlining workflows and minimizing downtime, Jeh Aerospace said in the release.
Enhanced training is made possible by AR/VR technologies that will enable Jeh Aerospace to provide immersive training experiences for its workforce. Employees can benefit from realistic simulations that replicate complex tasks and scenarios, improving skill development and reducing training costs, according to Jeh Aerospace.
The integration of Spatial AI and AR/VR is also expected to facilitate more efficient and accurate inspection and maintenance procedures. Technicians will be able to overlay digital information onto physical components, ensuring precise diagnostics, quality inspection, and reducing the likelihood of errors, the company said.
“We are thrilled to partner with Jeh Aerospace to bring the transformative power of Spatial AI and AR/VR to the aerospace manufacturing industry,” said Rishi Ranjan, co-founder and CEO of GridRaster, in the release. “Our platform’s ability to deliver high-precision Spatial AI and high-quality immersive experiences will empower Jeh Aerospace to achieve new levels of efficiency and precision in their operations.”
Jeh Aerospace also reported in July that it struck an alliance with AI platform developer Blackstraw AI to integrate Blackstraw’s AI platforms into its operations. The partnership will leverage cutting-edge AI technologies with the intention of enhancing manufacturing processes, improving supply chain transparency, and driving innovation in the aerospace industry, the companies said in a release.
