HICKSVILLE, N.Y.— Following a wide-ranging search process, Designatronics, Inc. has appointed Simon Brazier as its director of sales and marketing, the company said in a release.

In this newly created role, Brazier will assume responsibility for leadership and growth for both domestic and international business development. He brings with him a wealth of industry knowledge, having spent the last 13 years in manufacturing and, before that, the electronics field, the company said.

“We’re extremely excited to add Simon to our sales and marketing team,” said Designatronics  CEO and President Robert Kufner, in the release. “His vast leadership experience and passion for the industry exemplifies the qualities needed to drive the results our customers expect from us.”

Brazier will take on a key leadership role, developing strategy for ongoing growth and success. “His extensive experience in management, strategy development, and implementation of customer-driven solutions will enrich collaboration within the organization and across the outside sales force,” the company said.

Through a business model that includes four brands, Designatronics provides integrated design, engineering, and manufacturing. The company said it “manages its brands to develop comprehensive mechanical and electromechanical solutions, optimizing value in the global markets that are served.”

Designatronics’ four brands include SDP/SI (Stock Drive Products/Sterling Instrument); QTC Metric Gears; Quality Bearings & Components (QBC); and Wybur Tools.

SDP/SI is an ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D registered provider of mechanical-based engineering and manufacturing services. The company offers customized design and specializes in high-quality machined parts, molded components, synchronous belt drives, precision gears and subassemblies.

QTC Metric Gears supplies North America with metric gears and gear products. Quality Bearings & Components is a supplier of bearings and other mechanical components; and Wybur Tools is a manufacturer of long-lasting carbide and HSS burs, the release said.
