The certifications are expected to open doors to federal government contracting, the company said.
WARREN, Ohio—REM Electronics Supply, Inc., recently obtained Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), as well as certification to the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard. The JPC certification enables REM Electronics Supply to participate in government contracts, supporting vital defense and national security initiatives, the company said in a release.

In line with its certifications, REM Electronics Supply said it has invested substantially in a newly renovated space dedicated to value-add production. The facility, described as “state-of-the-art,” is equipped with advanced surface mount technology (SMT), X-ray, and optical inspection machines.
The investment is said to be pivotal for REM’s more advanced surface mount electronic manufacturing processes, helping to ensure that the company meets and exceeds the rigorous quality standards set by ISO 9001:2015 certifications. It also supports the expected growth from opportunities to be obtained from having a JCP certification, the company said.
“Our team has worked tirelessly to meet the stringent requirements of both the JPC certification and the ISO 9001:2015 standard,” said Jan Dyer, president of REM Electronics Supply, Inc., in the release. “The substantial investment in our newly renovated facility demonstrates our commitment to not only achieving these certifications, but also to delivering the highest quality electronic components and services to our government partners and customers.”
